Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosauria. They first appeared during the Triassic period, between 243 and 233.23 million years ago, although the exact origin and timing of the evolution of dinosaurs is the subject of active research.

A mammoth is any species of the extinct elephantid genus Mammuthus, one of the many genera that make up the order of trunked mammals called proboscideans. The various species of mammoth were commonly equipped with long, curved tusks and, in northern species, a covering of long hair.

Pterosaurs were flying reptiles of the extinct clade or order Pterosauria. They existed during most of the Mesozoic: from the Late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous. Pterosaurs are the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight.

The lion is a large cat of the genus Panthera native to Africa and India. It has a muscular, broad-chested body; short, rounded head; round ears; and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It is sexually dimorphic; adult male lions are larger than females and have a prominent mane.
The common name for many large birds of prey in the Accipitridae family is eagle. Eagles are classified into several genera, some of which are closely related. The majority of the 68 eagle species are found in Eurasia and Africa.

Any preserved remains, impression, or trace of a once-living thing from a previous geological age is referred to as a fossil. Bones, shells, exoskeletons, stone imprints of animals or microbes, amber objects, hair, petrified wood, and DNA remnants are some examples. The fossil record is the collection of all fossils.
